BEFC Family,
At our monthly elder meetings, we usually begin by hearing a devotional from one of the team members. This past week, Tony shared a devotional on the importance of continuing in prayer from Nancy Guthrie’s book Praying through the Bible with Your Kids. We were encouraged by it and thought it would be worth sharing with the rest of the body as well! Check out the devotion HERE. With joy, The Elders

ELDER TEAM NOMINATIONS – DUE OCTOBER 31
Our constitution states: “Prior to the annual meeting, and at other times when new or additional Elders are needed, the Elders will ask the members of the congregation for suggestions of persons, who, in their estimation, meet the qualifications of an Elder.” (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
We are asking that you first bring this before the Lord in prayer and if someone comes to mind please reach out to them first, if they are in agreement with your nomination, please submit their name to one of the current Elder Team members (Pastor Stephen, Pastor Chris, Hokan Bengtson, Tony Dupay, Joe Ley) for consideration. Nominations will close on October 31, 2025.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – COLLECTION DATES NOVEMBER 9 & 16
Bless a child across the world with a Christmas gift and the Good News of Jesus Christ. This year we will be collecting your boxes at the church on November 9 and 16. Drop you boxes at the Welcome Table and we will take care of the rest. Pick up brochures at the Welcome Table.
**If you would prefer to pack a shoebox online, go to https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/buildonline/ and build your box.

RAKE THE TOWN – Saturday, November 15 * 9am to 12:30pm
Faith In Action has requests for elderly people in our area needing help with their fall yardwork. And while we work on the yard we’ll get to connect with the homeowners to listen to them, encourage them, and pray for them!
If enough people show up we could be done much sooner, so grab a friend or two and take some time to brighten someone’s day!
BRING: gloves, a rake. If you have tarps, a trailer, or a blower, text Pastor Chris to see if it’s still needed (763.244.4957).

THE COFFEE CREW NEEDS YOU!
Our Coffee Crew is in need of a few more people/couples to join our team! It’s easy, fun and a great way to serve. The team has a rotating schedule and serve once a month. If you have a heart to serve in this way, please contact Tony Dupay 763-381-7739 or a member of the coffee crew.

REALITY Student Apologetics Conference – NOVEMBER 7-8
For a fish, a world without water is drastically different than a world with it. In the same way, a world without the Word—without Christianity—is radically different from a world shaped by it.
Whether we realize it or not, Christianity is like the water to a fish or the air we breathe. Many of the values, institutions, and advancements we take for granted—like modern science, universities, human rights, and justice—exist because of the Christian worldview. But because they’ve always been there, we don’t recognize their connection to Christianity. At this year’s Reality Apologetics Student Conference, we’re pulling back the curtain to show students how Christianity has impacted our world.
We have 60 tickets reserved for what will be our 6th year of this faith-anchoring conference…and we would love to have you join us (if you’re not out taking the breath away from some deer)! And don’t wait to register. The quicker I know if we need to order more tickets the better our chances of taking more students!

SETUP TEAM MEMBERS NEEDED
The Setup Team arrives early on Sunday morning to turn the school into an excellent place for people to encounter God. We are in need of people to join the 4-week rotation on the teams that are running low on members. You could even on multiple teams to help fill the gap. Contact Heath Nelson (612) 363-7746 or a setup team member with any questions.
