Global Outreach at Becker Evangelical Free Church
Acts 1:8 records these words of Jesus, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Churches all over the globe understand that the gospel is not just for them. The Good News about Jesus is for everyone! When we embrace Christ, God will use us to spread his love and truth to other people; starting with the ones closest to us but reaching all over the world! Becker Evangelical Free Church has strong connections with God’s work in China and in Haiti and more.
We are excited that individuals in our church have traveled to Gambia, Africa, Ukraine, Guatemala and Australia to share the gospel.
We’re looking forward to seeing where God takes us in the future! We plan to continue our relationships in China and Haiti but are also exploring other places to share the gospel around the world!

Haiti
We support Rood Roger and Jesus In Haiti Ministries. www.jesusinhaiti.org In fact, when Pastor Dave Van Wingerden “retired” from his long time role as BEFC’s Senior Pastor, he and his wife, Cherie moved to Haiti to mentor pastors and host ministry teams at Jesus in Haiti Ministries. Many people were blessed under his leadership there. Dave and Cherie have finished their time in Haiti and are now working with Interim Pastoral Ministries.
As a church we sponsor a student at a Jesus in Haiti ministry school.
We have sent teams on mission trips to Haiti to help support the work that is taking place there.
One fun way we make a big impact in Haiti and around the world is by packing meals through Feed My Starving Children. www.fmsc.org/home
Another fun way we help our Haitian friends is by hosting and running in the Haitian Hustle fun run right here in Becker, MN. www.haitianhustle.com/becker/ Other sites have followed our lead by hosting Haitian Hustle runs to raise money to help boys get a quality education in a Christian environment at home in Haiti.
Crisis Response Team
We partnered with the EFCA of America and Global Reach Partners to respond to the flooding crisis in Louisiana. We look forward to sending more teams in the future.
Ensenada Youth Mission Trip
In partnership with Youth With A Mission, BEFC has sent teams of youth to build a homes for a family in Ensenada, Mexico.
