BEFC Church Family,
Here are your announcements for the week.

Julie is looking for a few individuals to step in to teach Children’s Church this summer. Contact Julie Toedter if you are interested in helping (612-267-9694 or

Children entering kindergarten in the fall are invited to join in at Children’s Church (K-3rd) over the summer, or they can choose to remain in the Birth-PreK rooms. Also, those children moving to 4th grade in the fall are welcome to remain in Children’s Church over the summer.

Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, “The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know.” Maybe you’ve found that to be true of your walk with Jesus!?!? You’ve taken steps to grow in your faith and with every step realize you have a long way to go. Or…maybe you’ve been riding on the wake of someone else’s faith and haven’t been blazing a trail of your own!?!? When people tout one trail to take but trot on a different one it’s called out as hypocrisy. Or as Craig Groeschel calls it, “Christian Atheism.”
This summer we’re inviting our young adults to muster up the courage to face their Christian Atheism and restore authenticity to their walk with the LORD. Craig Groeschel states, “This book is for anyone courageous enough to admit to their hypocrisy. I hope it pushes you, challenges you, and disturbs you. And if you’re honest before God – as I am trying to be – perhaps together we can shed some of our hypocrisy to live a life that truly brings glory to Christ.”

This summer’s Ensenada Entourage team invites you to stick around after church on Sunday, June 20 (Father’s Day) for some rockin’ oldies and some favorite foods from the fifties! Food baskets will be served consisting of a main item, a side, and a drink. Main items are hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, corn dogs; sides will be a variety of chips; and drinks will include water and pop options. And let’s not forget some tasty desserts to follow-up the baskets, including Rootbeer Floats and other frozen treats.
Every dad who shares a dad joke will receive a free dessert!
This will be our final FUNdraising effort before departing on July 8. Most of the funds will be a huge blessing to the orphanage we will serve, and one specific way we’ve been made aware of is helping them to finally pay their staff after the financial challenges they faced through COVID.
We hope to see you at the Diner!

Join the Outdoor Connections for a relaxing afternoon on the Mississippi. Test your strength and endurance and try to paddle upstream, or just go with the flow and have fun in the sun! If kayaking isn’t what you want to do, let us know and you can try a paddleboard. Open to anyone 8th grade through adult. Cost: $26 to kayak or paddleboard. Loading at the Church Office at 12pm, returning to the Church Office by 5:30pm. Head to click on Event Sign Up to register. Register by June 20.

We’re so excited to begin gathering for these! If you’ve never joined us for one of these before, these studies meet in small groups in homes for 6 weeks. We study using an inductive method, which means we use the Bible to study the Bible, not a pre-written study. Our time together is spent reading through the passage we studied that week and discussing what God has taught us, as well as building each other up!

There are 5 groups meeting this summer, hopefully you can find a time that works for you! We realize summers are hard with vacations, so if you need to miss a time or two, that is ok! This summer we will be digging into one of the gospels – Matthew! Here is the link to sign up for a group!

Let’s meet up and reconnect with our kiddos on a Wednesday each month at Becker City Park (10362 County Road 23 SE, Becker). Come and join us from 10-11:30am. Feel free to pack a lunch and stay after for a picnic. Any questions contact Julie Toedter at 612-267-9694. No kids required to attend. This is a great time for people of all ages to meet.
