Local Outreach at Becker Evangelical Free Church

When we’re not having fun running the Haitian Hustle or packing meals at Feed My Starving Children, you are likely to find BEFC’ers helping out a neighbor or volunteering in a local sports program or in the schools. We encourage our people to get connected in the community and to take their relationship with Christ along so that they can share the gospel through relationships. It makes sense. Most people who come to Christ as an adult state that they first built friendships with 6-8 other Christians before they were ready to commit their own life to Christ.

Keep checking back to see where BEFC is reaching out next in our local community.

Faith In Action

Brothers and Sisters from our local church also participate with Faith in Action grfia.org , a local non-profit ministry designed to meet needs in our local community. This involves everything from yard cleanup when we “Rake the Town” to helping people with home projects and meals.

Backpack Buddies

A few times a year we partner with Backpack Buddies to collect snacks for kids in Becker Schools.  We also pack these meals to make sure that students in Becker have something good to eat on the weekends regardless of how the pantry looks at home.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Several young people also participate in our local Fellowship of Christian Athletes www.fca.org that meets on school property once a month.

LifeSong Ministry

LifeSong Ministry is a non-profit organization designed to support families in the NICU financially, emotionally and spiritually. BEFC helps with packing events like this one by our MOMS group. Visit their website at www.lifesongministry.org for more information.
