INTERESTED IN BAPTISM
At BEFC we practice “believer’s baptism” - meaning:  Upon your profession of faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior we baptize you.  If you are interested in following the example of Jesus in being baptized  contact Pastor Dave.  Baptismal Service will be held Sunday evening, July 11at 5pm.  Home of Tom & Mary Fallgren.  Followed by potluck supper and family swim.

This morning Pastor Dave begins a new sermon series entitled “Christian Legends.”This morning we begin looking at the first of 10 things most Christians believe.  But are they true?

GRAD SUNDAY
Today we'll honor our 2010 graduates during our worship service and we invite all to stay for a celebratory meal following the service.   Donations from this meal will go toward our scholarship fund.

BELAY "Celebrating the Climb"
Sunday, May 23 ends the year for our BELAY class.  All students, parents, and mentors are encouraged to join us for a cookout at the church property starting at 5 pm.  Following our meal we'll take time to celebrate what God did in our students throughout the course of the year.  We need to hear from all persons involved whether or not they will be able to attend so that we can plan accordingly.  Please contact Wendy Jundt at the church office with your reply!
 
HAITI GARGAE SALE
Thank you to Sonya Crocker and Kay Lukkarila for organizing this fundraiser for Haiti.  Also, thank you to all who donated items to sell.
 
LAKE KABATOGAMA GETAWAY
The Outdoor ConneXion has an exciting outing of camping and fishing planned for the weekend of July 23-25 (note date change)to Lake Kabatogama.  Think "Boundary Waters with motor boats."  While this trip is targeted to our teens we will need a team of adults who can connect with the kids and teach them the ropes as needed.  A significant need is for a couple more boats and transportation.  Space is limited.  If you're interested, watch for the upcoming insert with more details, or contact Ken Schurter or Jay Suhsen.
 
BRANCH
The next BRANCH (Building Relationships And Networking Christian Homeschoolers) meeting will be Tuesday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m.  We meet at 14238 Fairway Lane across from the Becker Community Center.  Our speaker is Jill Haehn.  She will be speaking about "Hope for the Struggling Reader."  For more information contact Kristin Salvevold.

1.  THANK YOU to all of you prayer warriors, who, every day prayed for the youth in our church and in ELEVATE since November.   As we finish our year here in May, I want to thank you for praying on the behalf of all of these youth.  We are blessed to have you serve in this way.  I appreciate each of you. 
2. Also, a HUGE thank you goes out to all who  helped out with KidCarethis year.  It is so worthwhile to get to know the little ones in our church family. I appreciate your time in helping care for the youth leaders children so they can go serve at ELEVATE. Again, you are appreciated.
