WEEKEND MEN’S WHITEWATER RAFT EXCURSION
Class 4 & 5 whitewater on the Arkansas River in Colorado.  Leave Thursday, June 10  and  home on Sunday night June 13.  Cost:  $250.  Contact Hokan Bengtson or Troy Robinson if interested.

INTERESTED IN BAPTISM
At BEFC we practice “believer’s baptism” - meaning:  Upon your profession of faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior we baptize you.  If you are interested in following the example of Jesus in being baptized  contact Pastor Dave.  Baptismal Service will be held Sunday evening, July 11at 5pm.  Home of Tom & Mary Fallgren.  Followed by potluck supper and family swim.

BEFC GARAGE SALE FOR HAITI
We will be having a garage sale on May 13-14 to raise funds for Haiti.  Start collecting gently used items you would like to donate.  Items can be dropped off this week, but please contact Sonya Crocker before you drop anything off.  If you are interested in helping clean out the garage, set up, take down or transport items not sold, contact Kay Lukkarila.
 
GRAD SUNDAY
On Sunday, May 16 we'll honor our 2010 graduates during our worship service and we invite all to stay for a celebratory meal following the service.   Donations from this meal will go toward our scholarship fund.

HIS KIDZ LEADER MEETING

BELAY "Celebrating the Climb"
Sunday, May 23 ends the year for our BELAY class.  All students, parents, and mentors are encouraged to join us for a cookout at the church property starting at 5 pm.  Following our meal we'll take time to celebrate what God did in our students throughout the course of the year.  We need to hear from all persons involved whether or not they will be able to attend so that we can plan accordingly.  Please contact Wendy Jundt at the church office with your reply!
 
LAKE KABATOGAMA GETAWAY
The Outdoor ConneXion has an exciting outing of camping and fishing planned for the weekend of July 9-11 to Lake Kabatogama.  Think "Boundary Waters with motor boats."  While this trip is targeted to our teens we will need a team of adults who can connect with the kids and teach them the ropes as needed.  A significant need is for a couple more boats and transportation.  Space is limited.  If you're interested, watch for the upcoming insert with more details, or contact Ken Schurter or Jay Suhsen.
 
Becker MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
MOPS is a place where mothers of young children (pregnancy through kindergarten) can go to recharge and connect with other moms who strive to be the best moms they can be.  Non-denominational meetings are held at Grace Lutheran Church on the second Thursday of each month from 6:45-9:00 p.m.  Our last meeting before summer break will be May 13th.
